Telios provided MEP Engineering, Construction Management and Commissioning services for the HVAC Equipment Refresh at the Biochemistry and Biophysics (“Bio Bio”) Building on Texas A & M’s College Station campus. This project entailed the replacement of five (5) existing Air Handling Units in the building. At 90,000 square feet, in addition to traditional classrooms, the building houses a variety of department with labs, such as the Center for Phage Technology, Center for Structural Biology, Biomolecular NMR Laboratory, the High-Performance Research Computing, and Protein Chemistry Lab, all of which needed to remain powered during the equipment change out. Telios construction and engineering provided TAMU needed supported for vetting through qualified contractors and budgeting efforts, as well as self-performing commissioning services to ensure the building remained operational and within required temperature/humidity specifications, throughout the equipment refresh process. The project was completed in Summer of 2018.
