League City Animal Care serves the community through animal adoptions,
stray intake, medical care, and humane education. This project involved
the design of a new 13,000-square-foot animal care and adoption facility
built to support daily operations and a welcoming visitor experience.

The facility brings together dog and cat housing, adoption areas,
administrative offices, and support spaces all organized to promote
efficient daily operations and a clear separation between animal and
public zones. For an animal care facility, the mechanical systems carry
significant responsibility. Odor control, pressurization, and proper air
separation between animal housing and public spaces were central
priorities in the design, requiring careful coordination of the HVAC and
exhaust systems throughout the building.

Telios provided full MEP engineering services, designing dedicated HVAC
systems for animal and adoption spaces, high-use washdown plumbing
infrastructure, and electrical and technology systems to support daily
operations. Provisions were also incorporated for a future generator
connection, giving the facility the flexibility to add backup power as
operational needs grow. The result is a facility built to serve the animals
and the community for years to come.
