Telios provided MEP engineering and technology design services for the 250,000 SF interior build-out of Houston Methodist’s new central supply warehouse, located within a 1.3 million SF distribution facility. This state-of-the-art space supports the hospital’s logistics and operations with climate-controlled storage for medical supplies, PPE, and more.
The facility includes space for a future 50,000 SF pharmacy area designed with a modular layout, dedicated generator and electrical service, cleanrooms, bulk storage, and packing zones. Critical systems are supported by two 3,000A electrical services and two 2 MW generators to ensure 100% backup power for continuous operation.
Key features include:
- Conditioned high-pile storage areas
- 16 forklift charging stations and GOBO lighting for lanes and signage
- Conveyor belt system for cross-facility material handling
- Fitness center with locker rooms and a large breakroom
- Mezzanine level featuring gang restrooms and a spacious training room equipped with TVs
- Elevator lobbies with dynamic, color-changing LED lighting
- Main office lobby and conference room with architectural stepped ceiling and integrated linear lighting
- Three 30,000–40,000 CFM air rotation units for efficient warehouse cooling
This project enhances Houston Methodist’s ability to maintain resilient, high-volume supply operations with advanced infrastructure and thoughtful amenities for both functionality and staff wellness.
