DataBank is a colocation and managed service provider based in Dallas, Texas with over 50 data centers throughout the US. Telios has provided engineering and commissioning services to DataBank for various expansions and acquisitions since 2012.

Telios worked with the client to design modular electrical and mechanical plants for the site that would allow for the deployment of dedicated containers to each hall with room for a load adder for customer expansion. The electrical containers were provided with Active Power Cleansource Flyweel UPS sytems.

The halls are designed for 200 watt/sf with a site capacity of 6MW. CFD modeling was conducted to evaluate what the expected temperature rise could be in the hall with and without containment, to determine the number of Indirect Evaporative Cooling Units required on the roof to ensure concurrent maintainability.

This infrastructure tie in and commissioning for these halls was completed in a live environment, with Telios and the General Contractor working thru methods of procedures that allowed the expansion to be executed without disruption to existing customers.
