Telios was selected for the Design Build team providing MEP Engineering for Cummins Southern Plains new engine equipment and remanufacturing plant in Southwest Dallas. Telios’ scope of services includes MEP design, cost estimating oversight for MEP systems and MEP equipment selection as well as Technology Design for their voice and data networks, audio/visual, and security systems.

The new ground up facility will house administrative office and customer service areas, approximately 85,000 SF of diesel engine service and operations area with 42 full size truck bays and 4 multi-ton bridge cranes.

Technology Design: Tasked with designing wireless network access around the bridge cranes and between 42 trucks, the Telios project team designed a network that allows each engine technician to access the network anywhere throughout the bays and without interference of the bridge cranes.

Security, audio/visual, and structured cabling systems are all being provided as a turnkey coordinated design package to ensure the building’s essential communications systems will provide flexibility for upgrades and future growth.
