Technology Design

The Baylor Scott & White Medical Center expansion in Round Rock,
Texas is a multi-phase project that includes a new five-story inpatient
bed tower, a two-story expansion of surgical and emergency services,
renovations to the existing hospital, and new sterile processing support.

The new tower supports women’s services, labor and delivery, NICU,
and inpatient care, while the project as a whole increases capacity and
improves how clinical departments connect and operate across the
campus. All work was phased to maintain continuous hospital operations.

Telios provided technology design for cabling, audiovisual, security,
and nurse call systems across new and existing spaces. Early in design,
the team identified conflicts with existing incoming services due to the
tower placement and worked with the owner to reroute infrastructure,
improving redundancy and long-term resiliency.
