IT Cybersecurity Specialist

The IT/Cybersecurity Specialist is responsible for the development, implementation, and optimization of tools and utilities that support the daily engineering, operations, and construction workflows across Telios Corporation. This role plays a key part in enhancing technological capabilities, promoting secure and efficient systems, and driving innovation across the enterprise.

Responsibilities:

  • Champion Telios’ cybersecurity initiatives by ensuring compliance with information security best practices, implementing proactive threat mitigation measures, and working closely with internal stakeholders to maintain a secure technology environment
  • Develop and/or assist with the development, testing, and implementation of software tools and utilities that enhance engineering, operations, and construction processes
  • Lead or support IT-related project design, which may include software development, hardware acquisition and configuration, network infrastructure planning, and method of procedure development
  • Assist with project management of IT initiatives and maintain strong staff engagement throughout the development lifecycle
  • Collaborate with IT vendors and helpdesk personnel to ensure prompt resolution of user IT issues and delivery of technical support
  • Support and advance lean initiatives by identifying opportunities to streamline digital workflows, eliminate inefficiencies, and promote continuous improvement through the smart application of technology
  • Stay actively engaged in continuing education related to evolving information technology trends, cybersecurity practices, lean methodologies, AEC industry software solutions, and modern software development languages
  • Support projects across a diverse range of markets including healthcare, mission critical, commercial, industrial, assisted living, municipal, multi-family, higher education, and retail sectors

Minimum Criteria:

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, engineering cybersecurity, or a related technical field from an accredited institution
  • Up to 2 years of demonstrated and relevant work experience, which may include internships or co-op positions in IT, software development, or systems engineering
  • Completion of at least one academic course or certification in cybersecurity fundamentals (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CISSP Foundations, or equivalent) preferred
  • Demonstrated work experience in lean or process improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma Yellow Belt or equivalent training/coursework) preferred
  • Experience with AEC industry IT/software experience preferred
