Field Service Manager Job – Construction

The Field Service Manager is a hands-on, working supervisory position that plays a key role in overseeing field mechanical, electrical, and plumbing service operations for Telios Construction Management (TCM) and our clients. Tasked with managing technicians deployed to various industrial and manufacturing facilities nationwide, the primary focus is on executing preventive maintenance and repairs, providing daily supervision and guidance to our field service technicians, ensuring efficient deployment on service projects. The Field Service Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing the service department personnel, effectively managing workloads, overtime, and labor resource planning to ensure smooth and successful operations as well as client satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Processing customer requests and assigning qualified technicians to make repairs
  • Administer daily workload priorities for all projects, maintaining efficient project assignments, ensuring field service technicians comprehend project scopes and client expectations
  • Following up with customers after completion to ensure satisfactory work
  • Fostering and enhancing TCM’s culture of safety, ensuring field service technicians’ commitment to safety policies/procedures
  • Manage, guide, develop, and provide direct leadership to a team of field service technicians
  • Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships, serving as the primary point of contact
  • Actively participate in milestone and final reviews of project deliverables to ensure the highest quality work product
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and designers to review and mark up drawings and specifications
  • Develop actionable plans to implement continuous improvement and quality control, ensuring enhanced performance on future projects

Minimum Criteria:

  • Minimum of 7 years of technical experience in the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) maintenance field
  • 3+ years of experience leading a team of field MEP service technicians
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to meet or exceed company-qualifying standards
  • Good written/verbal communication and customer care skills
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment and adhere to all required safety protocols
  • Drug test/background check required
  • Trade license or education preferred
  • Prior work experience with PLC controllers preferred
  • Ability to travel domestically 50% of the time is required
  • Candidates must have valid work authorization and be able to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship
