Construction Superintendent Job – Construction

Position available for an experienced and skilled Construction Superintendent to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) commercial construction, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to oversee and coordinate onsite work. The MEP focused Construction Superintendent will play a critical role in ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage day-to-day operations of construction projects, including scheduling, coordination of resources, and monitoring progress to ensure timely completion.
Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure that work is executed according to project plans, specifications, and quality standards.
Provide leadership and direction to project teams, including supervising and managing on-site personnel, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
Conduct regular inspections of work in progress to identify and resolve any issues or deficiencies, and implement corrective measures as needed.
Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to resolve technical issues and ensure smooth project execution.
Monitor project budgets, schedules, and progress, and provide regular reports to senior management and stakeholders on project status, risks, and issues.
Ensure that all project documentation, including permits, contracts, change orders, and progress reports, are accurate, complete, and up-to-date, and maintain proper record-keeping.

Minimum Criteria:

High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in construction management or a related field preferred
At least 2 years of experience as a construction project superintendent or similar role
Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage project teams effectively
In-depth knowledge of construction processes, codes, and regulations, as well as construction materials, methods, and equipment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders
Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions
Ability to travel domestically 50% of the time is required
Proficiency in construction management software and tools, including scheduling and project management software
