Engineering Intern – Houston

Telios, a mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) engineering design services firm, is always looking for talent. We are searching for college students pursuing degrees in Architectural, Mechanical, and Electrical Engineering. Our Engineering Interns are responsible for the project design of electrical power, lighting, technology systems, mechanical/HVAC, and plumbing systems for our industrial, manufacturing, corporate, mission critical, and healthcare clients throughout the US, Canada, and Mexico. Project design shall include, but not be limited to, initial field investigations and documenting as-built conditions, design and load analyses, REVIT/CAD documentation, equipment selection, and specification development.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing engineering design solutions to our clients in mission critical, assisted living, industrial/manufacturing, healthcare, municipal, higher ed, and various other commercial markets
  • Collaborating with project management on selected projects, which will include, but not be limited to, client relationships, assistance in managing project schedules and deadlines, and document revisions
  • Utilizing and applying engineering theory, calculations, code knowledge, etc. to address our clients unique needs
  • Assisting and leading the coordination of project designs with other disciplines

Minimum Criteria:

  • Currently pursuing a BS/BA degree or MS/MA/PhD from an ABET-accredited four-year university; specific engineering disciplines include:
    • Architectural Engineering
    • Electrical Engineering
    • Mechanical Engineering
    • Energy Engineering
    • Construction Science/Construction Management
  • EIT is preferred, but not required
