MEP Engineering, Technology Design , Enhanced Construction Administration, Commissioning, Owner Representation for MEP and Technology Systems

Telios served as the MEP and Technology Engineer of Record for State Farm’s recent Richardson campus, a 2 million square foot corporate campus with medical clinic. The project includes a 12.5 kV campus power distribution system with 10 MW of on-site, paralleled, 12.5 kV generation.

The project received medium voltage, primary service from the local utility company and Telios engineered an “A” and “B” 15kV radial distribution system throughout the campus utilizing PLC-controlled transfer breakers. In addition, the campus was supported by a 10MW on-site, diesel generator plant that paralleled with the local utility company.

Telios worked closely with State Farm staff to create a campus distribution system that would satisfy the initial budget and programming without sacrificing maintainability and campus growth. Provisions were provided to allow the generator plant to expand to 12.5 MW capacity and/or automatically shed non-essential loads during an extended outage. The medium voltage design provides reduced capital investment and enhanced ease-of-maintenance by consolidating generation at the central plant, and using a single utility circuit to generate redundant building feeds.

The Telios’ Construction Team provided fulltime, on-site enhanced construction administration services to quickly adapt owner changes to the existing construction processes, to all the project to maintain its original schedule.

Telios provided MEP and Technology design, Enhanced Construction Administration for the entire campus, and Commissioning for the medical office. Owner Representation for MEP and Technology Systems was provided to the Owner as well.
