Farmers Electric Cooperative has been providing reliable electricity to Northeast Texas since 1937. Telios provided MEP engineering services to Farmers for the expansion of their campus headquarters in Greenville, Texas.
Telios collaborated extensively with the Farmers Electric operations team to ensure the campus expansion would meet both current and future needs. These requirements included the expansion of an existing building to provide a new operations center and vehicle storage, design of a new 38,000 SF office building, multiple storage buildings, a fuel island with fuel storage, and a dedicated mechanics shop. A key aspect of the project was integrating the new infrastructure into the existing campus microgrid, which included adding two new generators to expand site generation capacity.
As the Engineer of Record for all new buildings and expansions on the campus, Telios worked closely with Farmers Electric Cooperative and the design and construction teams to meet the timeline and budget set by the board of directors. Design of the campus started in 2023, with construction expected to be substantially completed by the end of 2024.
